What do most bass player prefer when it comes to using individual pedals over a multi effects unit like the Line 6 BASS POD?

Its a reasonable tool for sculpting a bass sound in a studio environment (used a friends rack version a fair bit).

I think it probably has a mass more uses than I found, I generally used it as a preamp for going direct with a touch of compression.

More recently he got a Joe Meek TwinQ and I've used that, which sounds totally superb.

Do a search. There are a few major threads on the bass pod. I recently had the x3 and it's a significant improvement over the xt in my experience. There's also a few threads and a little info on it. If you punch my name into the search as well it may isolate those threads better.

Assuming you're new by your date, it's also useful to read FAQ if you want to know something as most stuff has been covered numerous times, will save you time, and you don't have to wait for a response.

Well, to start off, I'm not really sure the Bass POD is meant as a "multieffects". It's main function is to emulate multiple amplifier/cabinet setups.
