Question What do you think of this board?

i am currently putting together a pedal board. These are the pedals that i already have:

DOD FX-25
Boss GEB-7
Sansamp VT Bass
MXR Bass octave deluxe

These are the pedals i am planing to get:

Korg Pitch Black
Boss LMB-3
3Leaf Groove Regulator or EHX Q-tron or EHX micro Q-tron (which would get rid of the FX-25, it depends on the funds i have at the time)
Boss ODB-3 (im not a massive fan of overdrive/distortion/fuzz and am not really sure which one to get)

Your thoughts and advise would be really helpfull!

Well I'm not sure what kind of music you do so a little more info about your sound and style would be a good start...

I have to disagree. Buying the ODB-3 is not really a mistake. It can be very usable in certain situations.

PitchBlack - solid tuner, a lot of fans around here

Boss LMB-3 - good peak limiter, I assume to tame the spikes of your filter? does that job fine

3leaf - fantastic filter, very tweakable, can do a lot of different sounds, lot of fans around here

EHX Qtron and micro - good funky filter, really only does one sound, but does it very well. VERY peaky, you will definitely need the LMB-3 if you get this one.

Boss ODB-3 - meh. I think there are much better distortions/fuzzes out there. You said that you're not really a fan of distortion/fuzz on bass, why do you want it? Can you give any sort of description about what kind of distortion or fuzz you want? Buzzy and aggressive fuzz, or thick/dark/wooly fuzz? Or do you want Marshall-like guitar-sounding distortion?

I would not get the LMB-3 unless you have heard it and like what it does. I had one for a brief time and hated what it did to my sound! Tried many different setting and could not get a useful result. Just squashed the bass tone way too much.

well im pretty sure i will be getting the pitch black and LMB-3 (and i will try the LMB-3 first) after seeing your opinons.

i still haven't made my mind up about the filter. like i said it really just deppends on my money situation. i think i will probably find myself buying the Qtron or Qtron+.

the reason i mentioned the ODB id because i heard it can be used as a clean boost as well as an overdrive/distiortion. like i said im not a massive fan of distortion or anthing but a friend of mine is hooking me up with a bass muti effects free of charge, so i will probably have a better idea of what sound i want after i having a muck-around with that.

i am also thinking about getting a reverb. but i am thinking of doing a kit build for that.

replace the ODB-3 with an HBE Hematoma, and you will love life. It has two channels, clean boost and OD, and while the OD is tweekable, it is fluffy, dark and thick, while still giving some nice upper range cut.
