What do you use in the effects loop of your RBI?

I've had my Sansamp RBI for a little over a week now and am loving it. I was using an amp-head/pedal board combo before but am now thinking about moving everything into the rack along with the RBI and power amp. My question is what kind of effects are you using in the loop and how does it sound with the 50/50 blend switch engaged? I don't use a lot of effects, I've got a Boss Chorus and a Digitech BSW that I use on a few tunes. I've got a rack-mounted Digitech processor that I'm thinking of using in the loop for these types of effects. My other option is to put a rack drawer in and keep the pedals in there on all the time. what do you think?

I'm also into the 'pure' bass tone. That is most of the time.
The RBI is only for my fretted. Fretless goes straight into my AI Focus amp with the multi-effect-unit Yamaha SPX1000 in the effect loop.

My RBI is in the effect loop of the other channel of my amp (AI Focus 2). And in the effect loop of the RBI is the SPX1000. The only way to keep the unwanted noise within acceptable limits. A pity that the effect is gone when bypassing the RBI. Haven't found a solution for this one yet. The combination RBI and effect have the tendency to generate extreme amounts of hisssssssss.......

In your situation I'd guess you can get the best results using the effect loop of your RBI. This will give the best signal-to-noise ratio.

I have an old Alesis Quadraverb GT in the fx loop of the RBI, and use the GT's fx loop to run to and from a pedal board when I use one. At the moment, I just have an Ibanez FC-10 and a Boss NS-2 (velcroed into the rack), but in the past I'd run some 8 or 9 pedals that way. Best thing is having a full bypass of the pedal board by changing patches or bypassing the GT altogether.

I suppose you could put anything you want in the loop, although some effects will sound better than others with the 50/50 blend.

I have an RBI (packed away at the moment) and I am thinking of doing something similar....

If you keep the pedals in the rack and leave them on all the time then you won't be able to easily turn them on and off. Okay if you want a permanently beefed up sound but not good if you want the occasional different sound.....

It may be convenient to control the rack mounted processor with a foot controller.

I am thinking of putting a compressor (dbx 266xl) and maybe getting an EQ in the chain somewhere, although I understand these effects probably work better in series rather than parallel.
