It has nothing to do with the bass, but I saw these guys (and girls) some days ago.

during their noise intro their guitar player and their singer (lightbulb to the right) seemed to be using a PDA and a sampler to trigger samples and recordings...

Next to that, there was some kind of thing the guitar player used to create noise. You can't really see it on the vid, but I'll try and describe it (you can hear it though).

It seemed to be something like a theremin, but without the antenna. the part he touched seemed to be hallfround figure with a hole in the middle. By touching it, rubbing it and downright slapping the thing, he created the scratching, screeching and bleeping sounds you can hear on these recordings...

So, anyone know what it is?

Hiwatt Echo Theremin perhaps?

Otherwise it's probably a circuit bent toy with a light or motion sensor.
