What effect is Al Cisneros using

Sleep-Dragonaught.

I thought it was a wah pedal, but he doesn't have one at his feet. It might be a phaser, too.

I'm betting the video was not a documentary shot during the recording session.

Even if no foot-actuated effects were used while recording, it could have been a bandpass filter controlled by the engineer.

Sounds like an auto-wah or an envelope filter.

His pedal for that song are an Original Mutron III, Original grey Dod 250 and a Boss TU-2 all the grind and stuff comes from his 200w Green amps and slave amps and the million cabs he uses including his infamous 4x15's of which he has 2.

great band, great song, i think you can get the same effect from a electro harmonix bass balls. it would save you some money, those mutrons are expensive.

A Bassballs was my first thought too.

And I wanted a Green Amp for a while. But, at $2700 for the amp and $1650 for the cab, it's a little out of my price range.

i'm the matamp u.s. dealer, and the importing fees are ridiculous, that's what makes those amps so damn expensive.

Yeah I can imagine.

Geoff is going to build me a custom head case for one of my old 70's PA tube heads so it matches my cabs (Red Tolex).

We've also had some very very interesting discussions about some new products he's working on.

Sounds like an ordinary ol' wah pedal to me. The filtering sounds all "wrong" for an envelope filter.

If you listen closely there are parts where the sweep is in different directions and also doesn't sync exactly with the attack section of the note.
