what effect does he use?

hi there,
i cant quite work this out.
at the end of WAKE UP by RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, the bass changes, and i love that tone, but i have no idea how to get it or what it even is.
any help would be greatly appreciated

Wake Up was on the first album, so it was most likely a Stingray and an original Marshall Guv'nor.

whats OD? is it short for overdrive?

+1 the ampegs probably also had something to do with the thickness of it
