What Effect Pedal for Incubus Tune "Warning"

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a three piece band. Acoustic guitar, drums and bass.

I would be playing the intro to Incubus' "Warning", which I believe is synth generated.

Any pedal suggestions for the intro and breakdown sections.

Thanks for your help

The intro to "Warning" is a guitar, doing volume swells with some delay and flange/phase.

Also, I don't believe there are any effects on bass if you were wondering.

Well, I have the phaser (MXR 90), so thats a start. Doesn't the phaser and flanger cover the same ground?

I would like to keep it down to two effects, as I am also singing the tune.

Too much tap dancing, if you know what I mean.

Delay pedal huh. Never used one before.

Any recommendations without breaking the bank?

Volume -> Delay -> Phaser should get you that sound. Maybe a touch of OD as well.

Cool, I need to hunt down a delay pedal that works well with bass.

Dirk used his Sansamp PSA-1 for almost all of his dirty tones. He used a Big Muff but only for a couple songs - Calgone, Favorite Things, and the in the chorus of The Warmth.
