Thing is, there's ton's of great pedal makers. Sticking to one or two brands severely limits your options.

Seriously, though, I cannot recommend any one brand to anyone. They all have enough wrong with them to make that choice impossible. I like Voodoo Lab's Pedal Power 2 Plus, for example (because I just bought one today), but I thought the Analog Chorus was a bit too underwhelming for me.

Depends on the effect which brand to choose, when that is said most of my pedals are from Electro Harmonix.
