What effects were used?

Are there any information or websites that list out the kind of bass effects that were used for popular songs or famous bassists out there?

Justin Chancellor wasn't even mentioned.

At all.

And lexxmexx... if you haven't yet realized where you are (THE premier source of information on all things bass-related), and that there's an awesome search function (complete with Google search perks if you want to be thorough!) then none of us can help you.

No boo you just need to relax, lately the need to tell people about our great search bar is becoming a tough tough job. People like you and bongo must be overwhelmed.

But seriously, my original post was incorrect, I meant to be nice, but.............................Ive messed up the words nice and sarcasm. Happens too much

I've thought for a while that expanding the info in the FAQ and putting in the Wiki might be a good idea. List different bassists and/or songs and the effects used (type and brand if known)

I don't have any illusions about it cutting down on the number of "OMG wut can I get 4 the Hysteria sound" type posts, but it would be nice to collect that info in one place.

If we can make that happen it would be good to include how some of the artists get their great tones. You know, to avoid the "how does I get the TIMMothY C tone?? IT ROCKIN!!!" type threads

It'd be incredibly helpful. "Master" threads already exist for most of them - we just need to compile them into a few easy-access Wiki entries.
