| get a decent wah for soloing in and out,or just for emphesising some walking lines.i have a morley pba2 dual bass wah,works great..does not alter the sound,and has great responce.
maybe you should get some chorus/phaser/flanger just for splitting the verses from choruses in a song.so,when you go to a verse,they WILL know it s a verse
sometimes i use octaver when going into a verse,especially if i play punk-rock sounding songs,also does the job..
