| | some guy user | | | | | What next? Hey guys-
I have been introducing myself into this whole effectpedall'y world lately..
I currently have a POG 2, markbass compressore, 3leaf gr, EBS and oc2 octavers.
So for you guys in the advanced terminal stages of GAS, what are your suggestions?
-unique fat sounds?
-utility pedals you couldnt do without?
-secret weapons?
I am so familiar with the various envelope filters and octaves and im not a fuzz guy (though id love one thats real tight and fat for dance music).. I want to know about the in-betweens and the bigger-thans! |

| | | | Tech 21 VT Bass. It's a great SVT/Ampeg clone that can do overdrive but doesn't have to. Makes the sound BIG.
good luck! |

| | | | Honestly my secret weapon is the gated mode on the boss FL-3 not only is it great for dance music if you add distortion or fuzz but if you use the Ultra setting with octave and distortion or fuzz you get really cool synth sounds |

It has a distinctive "sparkling trebly" voice (IMO) that's really getting noticed, no matter what or who I play with. Really hilites slap stuff, especially with its Phase 90 MXR sibling. None are always-on pedals though.

I have to suggest a tiny multi, because the effects world is just too big a place for me to tell you what to buy next.
Tight and fat for dance music? Try a synth pedal, I loved the Bass Micro Synth, but there are others that are well loved also. It might seem little redundant with your setup, but the sounds available are quite different from your standard octave>filter tones. |

| | | | I use a EHX Small Stone phaser to fatten my sound. Anytime I'm playing something with double-stops it's on to give a big swirling sound. |

I keep toying with snagging a micro synth..
I just wonder if I should just get a keyboard again.. |
