Depends if you want the album or live one but I guess you're after the album one. I generally find its a thick distortion so I use an Boss ODB-3 and a Boss FZ-5 for that, sometimes the Wooly Mammoth then a very light synth over it like a flanger. I don't use the synth myself because I prefer his live sound which as far as I can tell doesn't have it on there. I do also add a Electro Harmonix Octave Multiplexer sometimes if you really want a thicker bass tone. Thats my personal choice anyway, you can check out http://www.youtube.com/feed/UCPQjItyFLmIfDAMvc6h84lQ/u for his videos on MUSE tones as well. I've learnt a lot from him.

Sorry to muse purist but OC2 -> LS2 -> Mastotron(A) black muff into EHX micro qtron (B) -> out works perfect for me.

I'm thinking of getting the soundblox pro pedal and the distortion one aswell I wonder if that will replicate the sound needing

Don't think you'll need it but it won't sound quite right unless you have the Akai Deep Impact in the chain somewhere.... it just has to be there :p
