This thing is brilliant, especially if you put a buffer before it. I have it at the end of the chain right after the micro thumpinator and it is amazing how much dirt you can get in super mode after a buffer. In original mode, it makes a perfect always on overdrive. It would have been cool to have the original/super toggle be a foot switch.

I've come full circle with effects: I'm now buying pedals I already own. | It's good for one to know what one likes, wants, needs, has.

| | GO VEGAN! | | Join Date: May 2008 Location: Charlotte, NC | | I really just don't need fuzz in the band that I'm in. I took it in to even out an amp trade that I did today, which was an Acoustic 230 for an Acoustic 136 combo and the Ampeg clone. Didn't post it cuz it wasn't super duper relevant.
FWIW, the fuzz was really nice, but the blend was imperative. It would be sorely missed on the low end side of things (I think the original didn't have a blend if I am not mistaken?).
EDIT: But I'll post a picture cuz I'm super duper excited about it. |

it's a bit of balancing to make one amp not over power the other, but OOF. two fuzzes at once or clean + fuzz or sample rate reduction + pitch shifting or crush delay + drone..... MURFGHAVGAGJAGggghhhhagagHHHHHAGGGAGGGHBHHHGHLE. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
