FWIW, the fuzz was really nice, but the blend was imperative. It would be sorely missed on the low end side of things (I think the original didn't have a blend if I am not mistaken?).
From listening to your band, I definitely would just stick with the empress and not add a fuzz. Great music, but fuzz would probably sound a little out of place.

Definitely. I've had a TON of fuzz over the past few years with this band, until I realized that what I was really after was the right distortion. Still, on the bright side, I got to play with all of that glorious fuzz!

Coming: Line 6 M5 for some delays and modulations.

Going: Prolly my Snark SN-10 pedal tuner since the Line 6 has one on it.

Missing some fuzz, thinking about picking up a Hoof or Swollen Pickle... stupid GAS.

In!

I spent hours with the Minibrute last night just running simple stuff on the arpeggiator and playing with different sounds. I see a lot of that in the future as well...

The SV Deluxe is awesome. I was not expecting blue knobs and I am not sure how much I like them unfortunately... The sounds are great though, once you get the hang of building them with the different voices and filters. Very synth like.

Going: WMD Fatman is still looking for a home, as are my Thunderfunk and Roscoe SKB3005.

^Nice! Both great acquisitions.

Are those blue knobs standard or did you get those custom? Ken just shipped mine yesterday so I don't really know what it's going to look. Figured it would be the standard black as shown on the site.

I didn't ask for them. I would have preferred the regular black ones.

haha... yeah, I would be a little pissed if I got blue knobs. lol. not that it matters to the sound. He probably wouldn't mind sending you a set of black knobs.

AMT wh-1b back from excane.
Going (whenever it sells): MXR M82 bef.

might try trading it for a low pass filter to try one of those out, but im beginning to question my need for a filter at all. leaves me with one question...what next? possibly another fuzz. might revisit the pickle pie b.

Yeah I'm not pissed I just... don't like them. Maybe Ken will send me black ones. I wouldn't mind sending the blue ones back after.

Sorry, I just realized you pointed out the knobs in the original post... oops. It's odd that he would just make the change without consulting you.

Maybe there's a sliver lining. If it's one of just a few blue knob versions you could always flip for a hefty profit to someone who is just dying to have that highly coveted, ultra rare, blue knob 2nd Vc Dlx.

Call me an optimist but, it could always be worse... like baby pink worse. Oh god, now mine's probably going to show up all pinked out because I put that out there. I'll let you know.
