When do you Use your chorus? I played a gig the other day where the bassist who's rig I used had multiple channels, one of which had a light chorus. I really liked the warmth and overall size it gave my sound, but I didn't have the time to play around with the channel to find what it was really capable of. I'm ordering a zoom B3 soon, and I'm curious of how I can use the chorus, and the different ways it can affect my sound. I realize I'll learn by just playing with it, but I'd like some suggestions as to how you guys use chorus in your sound. Thanks in advance for your help! Adam |
If you have a band with a single guitar play, chorus works great for filling in sonic space when the guitar player is soloing. I also use it sometimes when I solo just to give a different tone. |
I use it after octaver>fuzz>filter and I use detune as a last effect in all of the synth patches I've come up with on the B3. It makes synthy sounds more, um, synthy. I use it a lot just after fuzz too. It just makes every thing sound bigger. It makes my MXR blue box sound really tight like a man's anus. |
I thought if something sounded like ass it was a negative. Shows what I know. |

A little sounds good with distortion. It fattens up the sound. |
I also use chorus at times during solos and quite often with overdrive. |
I pretty much put the chorus after the verse ;) |
