Are the fine folks at Malekko implying that the MXR Carbon Copy is made in China? A couple of months ago, I emailed Dunlop about this, and they quite proudly stated that all of Dunlop's pedals are made in the USA.

I guess that is meant to get on-board USA-based customers. "Made in the USA" no longer means "high quality", but more often means "overpriced" in these days of a global marketplace.

Stuff made overseas (and here I'll take this to mean 'asia') *can* be as good quality as that not made 'overseas', depend on how selective you are with picking the manufacturer. If poor-quality goods are sold, that is more the fault of 'head-office' selecting a particular manufacturer than anything else.

Hell, if the modulation sounds better than my carbon copy and has the same 600ms, I'm in!

Hmm, I wonder. If the modulation is any better, can I set it for earball killing self-oscillation, and still use the modifiers?

It's not a delay...let alone analog delay...if it can't do that

So you saw this at NAMM? Any peak at the Holley Erectus or the Plaster Caster that Malekko was talking about? I'm most interested in the Plaster Caster because it was supposed to be specifically for bass.

that looks cool, I hope it will be a CC killer. I have an Assmaster and that is built like a tank so hopefully this will be the same.

Not really. The ekko has some other features like like dual outs and exp. input, but this pedal has the addition of modulation. It also only comes in one flavor while the ekko 600 comes in bright and dark, so it could easily be a pretty different circuit.
