Whenever I pick up a new pedal I always find myself popping the back plate off and looking at all the innards immediately. Does anybody else do this?

Now I'm building them (not all), it's way cheaper and you can make whatever you want it to sound like, use better quality parts and make ones that doesn't even exist in the stores... it's cool thing.

One recent pedal I bought new I had to resolder some loose wires!

I like digging into mine. I rarely have the time to properly hack on mine but I do it sometimes. Problem is, I only have pedals I'm pretty fond of left and I don't want to chop them. |
