I tried the Green Rhino and didn't like the mild OD sound, it just never really cleaned up enough. I traded it back in to GC and got a Sparkle Drive, also a TS clone but with separate drive and clean volume/gain controls, much more to my liking.

Hmmm seems to be a alot of mixed opinions on it. I really wish I could try it in person. Maybe i'll stick with my blueberry for a little bit and research it a bit more and also check out the sparkle drive. Thanks for the input everybody!

I really enjoy mine, I just wish there was a clean blend knob.

Man I wish there was a clean blend knob on EVERY pedal. And a volume knob for that matter. I can't stand that some of the effects in my setup don't have a volume knob because basically every effect affects your volume in some way and when there is no way to compensate for it on the pedal itself it gets pretty annoying.

The GR is a fantastic sounding pedal. Only real downsides are that it's fairly large if space is an issue, and it can't seem to walk the line of 'clean when I play lightly and dirtier when I dig in. Even at minimum gain it still adds overdrive no matter how gently you play. Doesn't sound like that's what you want anyway, so you're cool.

PS - the Pork Loin can get pretty nasty, not as grindy as the Rhino, but don't count it out

I find it you take the first little button on the right (as you're looking at it) and twist it all the way to the left, you can play clean when picking lightly. That's with the gain set at about 9 o'clock. Of course, your mileage may vary!!

Here is a short clip of me jamming with my band. I think I had the chorus on too. This is how jazz bass sounds with Green Rhino:

I got a Green Rhino as a birthday present few days ago. Didn't expect much, but I liked it more, than Fuzzrocious Dark Driving or B3K (I tried it with 4003 and jazz bass). 100HZ pot is crucial for tweaking the right sound. The only minor flaw about Rhino is that it has pretty too much compression.
