Every Sunday, the Times runs a one page 'Who invented that' in the Sunday Magazine section of the paper. They choose 'inventions' across a wide spectrum, from classic cocktails to the slinky to, well, the Rat distortion pedal.
Kind of a fun piece that I read every Sunday. It was kind of fun to see a piece of music gear in there.
