Bass peeps,
I was just at the Line 6 offices in Calabasas for a biz. meeting with Rich Renken. I played the M13 through his Joe Osbourne Lakland 4. WOW!!! The versatility of this pedal is amazing!
Do any of you own it? What do you think about it???? I am VERY interested in getting one!

I borrowed an M13 for a while from a guitarist. I liked it, but felt that it didn't have near enough bass specific qualities to warrant me owning it and gigging with it long term. |

They've added EQ, bass octave, smart harmony and a whammy like pitch shift. Sounds great on bass, IMHO. |

I had a decent sized pedal board and one day decided to sell all my pedals to buy a new bass. My M13 has replaced all of those pedals and done so in a much smaller package. I love it!

Naturally the Delays and reverbs aren't 'as' pristine as the super high-end stuff, but the sound is really good, I have very few cables and a really simple set-up with loads of options. Need I say more?
Just wait until Tayste spots this thread (#1 M13 Bass Fanboy/Expert)!

The new software update is fantastic. Eq's and Octaver are spot on. I'm also having fun experimenting with the smart harmony effects too.
I sold all my old pedals and don't miss 'em one bit. Ok, I did hang on to my old Mutron III pedal, but not because the M13 tron effects don't cut it.
BTW: This pedal retains low end. If it didn't I would not own it. |

I returned to it on Monday to practice with our originals band and got the chance to start really tweaking and OH SWEET Jesus!!! The Color Drive/Blue Comp I have dialed in (i'll get photos of the settings if ya want) Is SOOOOO smooth. I really can't believe that this thing is that good. I have a "tube echo dry thru" setting that has this awesome decay that gets all gritty but still has it's lows intact!
There are Synths Galor and the tracking is really good. I havent messed with the Wahs yet so really cant tell you much about those.
The Smart Harmony patch is FREAKING AWESOME (but I only tried that with a regular guitar)
If you do have one and havent done the update, GIT 'ER DONE - there are now all kinds of EQ's and bass friendly patches.
Peace,
Blu

IMHO the software update is the equivalent to an effect junkie OD. |

Fair enough.
Must admit I am tempted to try one but it would just cause unnecessary GAS, I'm pretty happy with what I've got at the moment. |

actually... having seen whats in the update paired with what I felt it was 'missing' before, I'm currently reorganizing things to buy an M9. It was very "close" to what I needed before. What what they've added it should be great for me.
