Sign in to disble this ad
I just bought a fulltone bass drive, and wanted to know if I could get some help with finding bands that their bass player use this pedal. Just trying to get some ideas of what sound I'm going to go for.

I use it. You have to learn how to use the controls on low to make it sound good. It's a hot pedal. I recommend using the controls at low settings to build tones. Otherwise, you're going to wind up with a tone that is too distorted to be usable.

+1

i have one too. i was using the comp-cut before. but now i use the vintage-mosfet for my overdrive to distortion needs since i already let go of my turbo rat. bassdrive is a great pedal. IMHO of course.

Thanks for replies. I use a SVT classic with a ampeg 6x10 cab, i was wondering what setting anyone would suggest, mostly looking at the Comp cut, FM, for vintage setting.

Manuel Carrero from Glassjaw/ Saves the Day uses it. He actually used it on the last Saves the Day album "Under the Boards" He actually blogs about all his gear on myspace. His tone is amazing

I disagree, my Bass-drive is the mellowest dirt box I've ever owned. Which is fine, I mostly use it for subtle grind. Mostly.

I haven't found any Hidden Secrets to mine, even with a bunch of controls it is incredibly simple to use. Plug it in, stomp on the Go Button, and play around with what sounds good.
