Went to practice today and the whole band told me to turn down!

I went to practice today equipped with my new sansamp VT bass.

I left all the settings I had on my amp before but put my VT bass in front tonite and holy crap is there a large differnence in perceived volume. Thank you mid/character knob on the VT Bass.

Made my MarkBass LittleMark III w/ Avatar B212 blast out a loud ass drummer and a really loud half stack and the PA for the singer.

Just wanted to share!!

Hell yeah man, I noticed a huge difference in my volume and tone after I plugged in my Sansamp. It's also awesome for recording!

Walk on man, Walk on!

Not just volume, but it has definitely filled out my tone and extended my low end. I can finally 'feel' my notes with authority.

I didnt realize how much of a difference that it makes.... my bass already has some high output as it is but the vt bass just makes it killer

As a StingRay player I have to completely agree It's amazing how much my Ray now sounds like all the ones you hear in recordings. I absolutely cannot wait to use this bad boy in the studio.

Just used mine with my HH Ray for the first time today and it made me appreciate my Ray so much more. Amazing pedal indeed.

I love it when this happens.

I never turn down. Just switch to the back pickup and tell them you did

all the time. for clean sounds it's unnecessary. but for anything with some dirt to it it's a godsend because you can make it sound like an svt cranked past 300w without getting your band fired.

I do use in front of my VR, it makes a perfect overdrive channel. I did a test last time: First I cranked the SVT almost all the way up with VT off, then I got back to a "regular" volume, and switched the vt on and cranked it to get the same volume as in step 1.... Sounded very, very similar.....

Moved to effects. If you slugged your band leader it probably would have stayed in band management, under the anger management subcategory.

Jeezus, every time I see a thread like this OR JimmyM sayin "pedal of the future" I get some serious G.A.S.

The VTBass is in my head for more than a year but here in Brazil they sell for $480!!! Even if I get one from eBay the taxes are so high I'll end up paying as much as that...

Yeah, I'd definitely spend $1200 (just the airplane ticket) to go to America to buy a $149 pedal...

No, but seriously, I'm gonna ask a friend that's going on vacation to america to get one (or a couple) and bring it with him. Customs will charge you if you bring more than $500 worth of new, sealed products, so a VTBass out of the box, thrown inside the luggage would pass unsighted!
