| Who's Sportin a TC 300? Need settings advice

If you're rockin' a TC C300 compressor/gate - can you please post what settings have been the most transparent - and of course, effective for you.
I've got channel 1 set to comp/lim and Bass preset - Threshold to -55 db, Ratio 2:1, Makeup at zero (straight up), Mix to 25. Channel 2 is Gate/Expander, THreshold at -25 db, Ratio 1.5:1, release all the way up and amount at 55%.
I'm playing pop with a dose of slap thrown in. It works pretty well to smooth out the overall sound thru a Shuttle 6.0/G-B Neox 112, but sound also seems a bit "flat" - absent some of the "pop" that comes from playing the G-B setup alone.
Any advice you can give or light shed on how to successfully set up a TC C300 is appreciated!
