I'd like to hear from some people about why they picked the particular version of the Big Muff pedal they have. There seem to be so many versions of this pedal around, I'm curious to know why a bass player would pick one over the other. "Because it was cheaper" or "someone gave it to me" are perfectly good answers.
Thanks. |

"Well, me mum always told me its not very ladylike to pick your m**f in public..."
~Taelyn, always wondered how that company got away with the name... |

The BMM sounded just as good and has a dry switch, which worked perfectly - muff dirt + not dropping out of the mix = win.

Was there a real sound difference in this one; or is it built a lot better? |

Sold it quickly because I discovered it was absolutely not at all what it was hyped to be (IMO). |

also i do feel that there better constructed then the others, i could spend all day throwing it down the stairs and probably still wouldn't break.

I still want a big green russian though.

I tried it because it was the only pedal I'd ever heard of at the time (obviously before I got into pedals). I loved how it sounded, but found that bass goes bye-bye when using it. Never tried another since. I know everyone here is all hot and sweaty over the BBM, but I honestly didn't dig any of the clips I heard of it, and the dry mode doesn't interest me at all.
However, I've been dying to try the new Tone Wicker version on g****r. The clips I've heard are really raunchy and awesome when the tone stack is bypassed. If I like it, I may build a tiny nano-sized muff clone with no tone circuit at all, and maybe some big caps and a few other little changes. |

Someone dropped mine, and both inputs broke. Now I am sending it back to the company for repairs, but it will cost me $25 plus shipping.
