Why isnt my ehx big muff pi running through my ampeg b4r/ basson cab??

I have an ampeg b4r and a basson 4x10 cab and I cant get my ehx big muff pi to power through my setup, it just sounds slightly louder and I have my tone and sastain nobs up all the way... Any ideas???
