Why you should (or shouldn't) play with a DD-3 when you're bored.

... you start making noises like this.

I tell you what, the more distorted the original note gets, the cooler it sounds

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but you wouldn't be able to reproduce that with the the current DD-?, right?

But what about the DD-6(is that the latest?) I thought they all crapped out when you turned the delay time knob.

Weird, but

What'd you use to induce the sounds out of that feedback?

My EHX #1 Echo produces a different sort of feedback madness... I'm sure you've heard it already

Two of them were initially a sweep of the Power Wah, one of them was with the BR2, and one was with the Flanger. After the first hit it was just self-oscillating and playing with the Delay Time and Mode knobs.

the DD6 does, in fact, stop oscillating when you switch between the S, M, L, reverse, etc. delay time settings. apparently, the DD3 does not react the same way.

news to me, too!

Did know the DD-6 stopped when switching between those the delay type settings, but I didn't know the DD-3 didn't. Now I have to get my hands on a DD-3!

No, I meant varying delay time without destroying the sample. I remember years ago shunning the boss digital delays because they dropped the sample when you turned the delay time knob.
