wich bass sounds do you use?

Sign in to disble this ad
via my lehle 1@3 and lehle dual I select my effects. I still have a loop on spare and I'm looking for an effect to put in it.

I now have

1) clean sound: no effects
2) dirty sound: bass big muff Pi
3) chorus effect: T-rex sweeper

What other sounds do you think are commonly usable and could by my 4the sound?

you could have a more subtle dirty sound on hand as well, something with warmth and grit when you hit hard but less constant fizz and buzz.

I think my clean sound is almost what you describe here.
I use an orange ad200 and I think it sounds a little dirty by itself, or do you mean something else?

Possibly Anthowl means more of a subtle overdriven sound... which i agree, the Orange ad200 does a fine job of already.

For a 4th tone i might suggest something a little more modulated. Maybe a subtle envalope filter or maybe some reverb. Slightly overdriven reverb is a tasty sound!

Analogue octave down. OC-2 or similar. You don't get your full bassist's permit until you've got your own OC-2.

octaver is very risky, because I allready have a low B, but the reverb sounds as an option.

Maybe the following

1clean: subtle dirty
2mean: fulltone bassdrive a-pinch-more-than-subtle dirty
3scream: full blown bass big muf pi, but I need more clean bass to support the bass big muf, it wipes all heavy bass out
4chorus:

What is this 'envalope' so many people speak of lately?

One of them things with the antlers? Or is it what you do when your parents don't approve of your fiancee?

Most often I prefere a clean tone. Occassionally I use a little EBS chorus or EBS Wah One if I feel like funkin'!

Delays are fun and an overdrive would probably be useful as well.
