Wich one should I pick to get the best sound similar/as close possible to chris wolstenholme's from muse?

- EHX bass big muff pi
or
- boss ODB 3

Thnx anyways
(ps: I'm a beginner at effects and know nothing about it)

Te BBM would be closest to te one e uses, since e uses Russian muffs.

I'll be as gentle as possible, and I apologize in advance if I get nasty or touchy-feely:

As you are probably aware, Chris Wolstenholme changes his effects setup fairly regularly. There is a link to a wiki somewhere in these forums, so I would recommend you search for it.

But, you do admit that you are a novice, and that changes the game. We all start at square one at some point in our playing lives, and I feel it is good form to help the less-experienced bassist on their journey.

If this sounds all touchy-feely, I did already apologize. It could be worse: you could have some bitter little troll (and yes, troll is the recognized term for an Internet forum bully whose sole purpose is to spew forth vitriol in order to incite a negative response) tell you that effects pedals are cheating, and that they cover up bad playing, or as I like to call it, andvari7 (that's me) at age eleven, conversing with his guitar teacher about pedals.
