Will batteries drain with a power adaptor?

Simple question. Recently bought a 1 spot power adaptor for my pedals, will the 9v batteries currently in my pedals drain whilst the pedals are powered by the adaptor?

yep. most pedals drain as long as a cable is plugged into input, even if something's plugged into the power supply jack.

REMOVE THEM BAYBAYS! i had a pedal i forgot to take the batteries out of, the batteries leaked, gunked UP the innards. messy.

I made the same mistake... Boss tuner (the one everyone has). Had the one spot hooked up, and it quit working. Battery went dead. I didn't even know I had a 9V in there. Good thing it wasn't in the middle of something. Live and learn.
