Will Boss ac adapter work with Multicomp EBS ?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have adapter - Boss PSA-120
in= ac120v
out=dc 9.6v

I was wondering if this would work since I already have this adapter, and I can't find info about this with a multicomp (my pedal doesn't say)

Thanks guys.

Salud!

I use a Boss PU ripoff from Thomann and it works fine with both Boss & EBS pedals.

NO. DON'T DO IT!!

The MultiComp manual reads:

"EBS Sweden AB guarantees no error free operation when using other DC adapter than the EBS AD-9. Warranty is void if higher voltage than 9.3V has been used to feed the EBS MultiComp pedal."

It will most likely work just long enough for the user to never really notice.

I have a fried MultiComp. I have no one to blame but myself, although it was a tad difficult for me to accept -- most pedals are (roughly) 10 times more forgiving.

Thanks man ! You saved my a$$. I was about to plug it in and try. So I'll have to get a DC adapter for it. Any cheap one should work though I guess.

Let me second the thanks for expensive-electronic-saving counsel!!

For google: Do NOT use the Boss 9.6V AC adaptor with EBS multicomp!

I used my Jim Dunlop i've had for my old crybaby, works great

So the power supply that I use for my boss pedals (dd3, ds1, bf2) will not work with the multicomp?
