I have a jazz bass that hums when I take my hands off the strings, and a ibanez pd7 bass distortion that hissed alot when Im not playin anything. Could the isp possibly fix both of these issues?

Shielding is the best thing for J-bass hum. Non-noisy distortions are the best replacement for noisy ones. You may take that as a joke, but how much were you going to spend on a Decimator? Just buy a better distortion instead, and a roll of adhesive copper shielding tape.

The Decimator is one of the better noise gates, a lot of big-time bands use them.
