slightly. It doesn't do harmony shifting. So it will only go from you base bass signal to whatever harmonized note you want, but not between like, a 4th to a 5th, for example

Harmonising is only one of the modes, the pitch shifter mode lets you thoroughly stupify your sound. I don't know much about this pedal, but a guitard mate uses one with an exp. pedal to get whammy action.

I don't think it sounds as good as the whammy, and IMO both sound terrible on bass... but hey, dif'rent strokes.
