Will a Sadowsky pedal give me a clean gain boost

Sign in to disble this ad
Dear Talk Bass,
I need a clean pre-amp / booster pedal as my new favorite Lace Sensor pickups don't have enough output for my application. Can I expect much clean gain from the Sadowsky pedal?
How about from a Tone Hammer?
Please Help!

The volume control on the Sadowsky only attenuates. I emailed Roger with this very same question a few weeks ago.

The Tone Hammer has plenty of gain available.

Or, if you search on "clean boost" we've had many threads about it. My favorite is the Radial PB-1, but the EHX LPB performs very well for a much lower price. There are lots and lots of other options though, depending on how much coloration you want or will allow, and what EQ controls you might want (or want none of).
