I should want it, it looks amazing, and the Q options are right down my street. Hopefully when the bass clips are up then it'll light a fire in me.

Though, my first reaction upon seeing the picture was incredulous laughter and a word that the TB filter won't allow me to share.

I'd much rather have two smaller pedals that each specialized in one kind of sound. |

Never has there been a distortion pedal that has this much (seemingly) EQ adjustment and sound shaping abilities. It is crazy how much one can change the parameters just within the bands. Duplicating all of the tone controls for a second channel would be a bit crazy, but adding another preamp for an additional boost would be a very good addition.
These tonal controls I see almost benefiting a bass guitar more than a guitar, as dealing with distorted frequencies in the bass range is more of a challenge.
I prefer overall distortion with bass over fuzz (although I use both) and how most of the people on here are in regards to trying to get that "holy grail" of fuzz, I am with distortion.
It is MUCH easier to get a decent distorted sound out of the average distortion pedal for a guitar than to get a good, heavily distorted sound out of a bass that will still retain clarity, warmth, and both the low end and the high end at the same time. It is much easier to find fuzz pedals that work well on bass than distortion pedals.
This pedal definitely is speaking to me and I WILL try it soon.

| | yiffffffTASTIC | | Join Date: Nov 2008 Location: California | | | looks like it would suffer from the same problem that WMD's Geiger Counter did.... for me at least. as SpacedLord and Bongo said, that is a LOT of options to not have any way to flick between presets.
and with the Geiger Counter, i LOVED a lot of the tones i could coax out of it, but one tiny nudge could throw the setting out of whack. and it might take 10 minutes of fiddling to get close to what was there. and on the two i went through before i returned it for good, they would occasionally change waveforms on power up. made the Geiger Counter completely useless for live stuff. if you're trying to replicate a sound instead of soundscape on the fly.
that said, the guy that owns it (W something M something Devices) was super nice and very helpful in emails when i had one.

kinda sucks that theres no way to phase align the signals, but unless you're doing VERY wild EQ adjustments, it shouldnt be a problem

-0behn desu0- | True, but I think the Acoustic Trauma is more of a set and leave pedal than the Geiger Counter. Although yes, ideally it would be GREAT to be able to scroll through presets.

yeah... i was actually TRYING to get to a tone i liked with the Geiger Counter and leave it... but it would occasionally jump waveforms during power on and DRASTICALLY change the tone. kinda too much pedal with out SOME type of backup/preset table i think.
i am super interested in the smaller Civilian Issue version tho.
