WMD Fatman or Subdecay Prometheus and Copilot Gyroscope?

Sign in to disble this ad
Christmas is coming and I'm going to make me a present...
an envelope filter, but I don't know which one.

The Fat Man is pretty cool cause it has this key input thing where you can plug in a CV pedal or anything else.
(kick drum, step sequencer, drum machine, WOW!)

The Prometheus is really a cool pedal, has all the parameters which an envelope section has to have... this step thing is also a nice feature, but I think it could be hard to be in time without an expression pedal to control the speed....
also it has so many features, that I see me tweaking around all the time instead of playing....

the Copilot Gyroscope seems to be another possibility for this step-rate thing. and it has got an exxpression pedal input for controlling the speed.
any opinions on that one?

I'm doing some jazzy-drum'n'bass-house-shizzle type of music, where I often have to "wobble" and imitate reece-basslines and stuff, so extreme sounds are very appreciated!!

so anyone tried these three or at least one pedal and got some pros/cons?
I'm from Germany what means that I always have to buy pedals to try them...

cheers,
merten

If you place a tap tempo trem after the prometheus it basically sounds tap tempo this is the most exact way to get it in I don't see how having expr over speed would get it right personally.

Prometheus for the win best filter I've ever owned completely killed all my Mutron III gas

I'm not a fan of Copilot especially since I noticed the extreme similarities between his products this year and what Subdecay has been working on for a long long time

the Fatman is pretty cool... i have been playing around with one, getting to know it, and will be making a video of it for ToneFactor soon... as an envelope filter, so far it seems WAY better than the Moog... but the Moog slays for synth filter type things...

once i'm done with the video and Brad gets a chance to upload it, hopefully that will give you a good idea of it's capabilities.

Prometheus ftw. It's not hard to get it in the right time at all. Just a couple of twists of the knobs.
