I personally would go with the Wren and Cuff clone if you really want something close to a Swollen Pickle.

There was one on Ebay a day or so ago (have not checked today) and it was already over $600 with a day or so to go in the auction.

Call me creepy, but I watched pretty much every swollen pickle auction on ebay for like the two years. I've not seen one going for 1k in that time. It actually seems like the price has been going down from a high of around $900. I attribute this to the actual existence of quality clones, I would be surprised if you see one make to $1000 in the near future. I would guess 600-700 range is where they fall in an average auction (not saying the rare one doesn't go for more).
