I know there is a picture of the Young Widows bass players ' pedal board in the 'Pedalboards of the Stars" thread. But does anyone have a closeup or know what effects he is using? Dude has a gnarly bass sound. I see some boss pedals from that thread. Anyone know what these are? |

He also uses a Gibson RD Artist, and when paired with a Rat...that makes up his sound. He also uses a Line 6 delay/looper. That big green guy. He also has lights in his cab. You can barely make it out on record though, but those lights are there. |

In addition to the Gibson RD Artist, which he uses on records, Nick has a First Act Delgada, and he uses it for live shows. The Delgada's design has taken a lot of inspiration from the RD Artist, but has different electronics. Sounds real close though. Sounds real good. |

On Old Wounds I can clearly make out at least 3 separate bass tracks layered to make that huge grinding sound. Rat blended with an LS-2 or similar will get you going in the right direction! |

...game changing moment for me!
