are your effects worth more than your rig and/or basses?

i have a squier jazz bass and just a home practice amp. both worth in total about 400$ but i already have pedals worth 400$ on my board and another few worth around 200$ on their way to me.
am i nuts? how is it like with you??



ps: i don't need a rig to practice with my band or for gigs.. am playing for an awesome band where they provide me with all my amplification needs so i do have an exception maybe
but anyway i am saving up for a rig now that i have everything else i thought i'd "need" err well almost you know i want a wah pedal though

No. My basses were both bought used for around £700, my amp's probably worth about the same. My pedals... Hmm. Actually they're worth more than I realised, but still less than both basses.

Ahm... I have 2 basses, 1 worth 350 bucks the other one 200 and just one of my pedals is worth 600 bucks... my rig is other thing its the most expensive my big rig is worth 2000 or something like that and my practice amp is worth $279

I got myself one bass,the Fender Urge Bass I USA Made(with the 3 pickups and kubicki elec.) and an Ashdown MAG C-115-300W that both of them cost me something like 1100USD.
My pedals are EBS MultiComp,EBS MultiDrive,EBS OctaBass,Malekko AssMaster,Malekko EKKO DARK VER. and Chunk Systems AGENT 00FUNK MARK II so all of them cost me together something like 1500 USD.
Soon i will get myself an Ampeg rig and Spector EURO4LX.

My effects have finally surpassed my rig. My bass was about 800, my amp+cabs was around 1000. I'm sure my effects are well over 2 grand now
