Your favorite blended fuzz

What is your favorite fuzz pedal to run in a clean blend loop?

I still haven't found a fuzz pedal that works for me. Been through a Bluebeard, Supercollider and Blowtorch. I was thinking maybe a Superfuzz clone next? Wattson Classic Electronics SuperFuzz.

It's gotta sound mean. You know, BONEKRUSHING and all. I might throw a tremolo in the loop before the fuzz too. For some weird ass pulsating fuzz ****.

IMO fuzzes lose a lot of their "oomph" when blended. Not always, but often enough that you might want to try it before investing in a custom rig.

I think what would work best is one of those Paraloopers with the crossover built in, or some other way of separating the fuzzed frequency range from the clean.

Maybe what could be sweet is running both the clean channel and the fuzzed channel through separate EQ's. Scoop the mids on the fuzz channel, and boost the mids on the clean channel. In my mind that sounds awesome.

Well, I've had this idea for a long time. Basically it's the same exact thing I'm taking about now. But with a graphic EQ before the fuzz. I'd boost the mids, bump the lows up a little, and completely cut the highs. This way the fuzz has low end, a ton of midrange punch, but no brittle/sizzly highs. Then blend some clean back in. I think fuzzed lows and mids with clean highs would sound sick.

What kind of fuzztone are you looking for?

As in, post up a link of a sound you want to get close to.

I'm thinking something similiar to this, with less "brittle" highs, more mids and more breakup/grit.
