I'm looking for a new modulation pedal... torn between two to be exact. EHX Small Clone nano and the EBS Unichorus. I already know that EHX is a phaser and the EBS is a chorus/flanger/something else.
I'm just curious on your thoughts / experience whith either one.
I play in a Rock/Alternative/Some Country/Dance band. (everything from Pink to AC/DC to Pink Floyd to Shania Twain)
Looking for something not to over the top, but something that will add the "Je-ne-sais-quoi".
Run down of excisting FX:
EBMM Stingray 5 ->AKG Wierless->Boss TU-2->VT Bass->MXR 10 Band EQ->MXR M-80->EHX Bass Big Muff->EHX Micro POG->SVT 3-Pro->SVT 8x10 (the fx are plugged into the power amp in of the 3pro bypassing the preamp)
Any and all experience, thoughts, comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Stephan

red witch moon phaser
boss bf-2 flange
analogman chorus
you might enjoy a phase 90 or small stone too, if you want some cheap phasing. |

There are very few overlapping scenerios for those effects in my experience. For me it's usually Chorus OR Phaser... i don't use a flanger at the moment though.

| First of all, the Small/Nano Clone is a chorus pedal. The EHX phaser is the Nano Small Stone. If you meant the Nano Small Stone (the phaser), then it gets great reviews around here. Its a darker-sounding phaser than the Phase-90, and voiced quite well for bass.
However, if you are talking about the Nano Clone (the chorus), then I would recommend steering clear of it, and instead point you towards the older, bigger, sheet metal Small Clone. They're both great sounding chorus pedals, but the Nano has a significant volume drop, and I much preferred the older one.
I have no experience with the EBS, so I can't help you there. |

Not necessarily those two, (though the Small Stone rocks), but, I mean, it would be easier picking between 2 different phasers, or 2 different chorus's, but in this case, really, both is the correct answer.
