Ive been looking into buying some of these pedals, but searching did not provide any information on whether or not these pedals are actually good.

The ones ive been looking at most are the tremolo pedal, the qmod pedal and silicon fuzz pedal.

Heres the website: http://www.zcatpedals.com/?dir=hot

im hoping someone can tell me more about these pedals and how they handle on bass.

I can't really speak for the pedals themselves, but I will say that there have been interest in these pedals here. The problem is that the guy isn't good at communicating. I wanted to buy a hold pedal off of him, but he stopped answering my emails. Of course, I have more money in my pocket now, but still.

I had the exact same experience. I e-mailed him two or three times with no response. Apparently, the e-mails were going to a spam folder. See the link below. But, I was given two or three e-mail addresses, tried them all, and still nothing. I gave up, but others have had success contacting him and do enjoy the pedals. Good luck.

I'm also interested in the qmod, I'd bet it's fine with a bass but it also seems like possibly a very straight forward and generic version of the effects it does. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing.
I didn't have any trouble getting a reply from him but my pedal budget is currently $0.

Well, you could explain what you're looking to get and I'm sure someone can list a few pedals that would serve your needs. Not saying to stop considering Z.cat, its just that there's probably a few more options with a better way of communicating with the company

Yea. Look at alternatives to the Z.Cat pedals. You mention interest in a silicon fuzz. Go check out www.bassfuzz.com. There are plenty of fuzz reviews there.

haha, oh yeh, ive been a big fan grygrx for a long time I've always loved that silicon B:Assmaster but they are rare to come by!

Its just that Z.cat has a good price, but i know little of their capabilities. i was hoping someone could tell me a bit about them in case i find em' for cheap second hand.

I was quite curious about that Q-mod too in getting more bang for my buck, especially if the settings are quite good. Otherwise i was really more leaning towards buying the tremolo cause its near the price range of an ehx pulsar, which gets nothing but praise here :P Just the Zcat has little to no reputation here, and i was just wondering if its worth the money.

i bought a poly-octaver2 about 2 months ago. i didn't have any problems emailing vlad, replies were quick, transaction was completed swiftly. pedal arrived from latvia within a week, WAY faster than most USPS packages that are shipped overseas. the pedal itself was great, priced at a steal.

How does it sound? Does it sound very robotic and digital like the Digitech Whammy or is it a much more organic sound?

I bought a bass big muff from a guy in latvia - it came the week i bought it, and I live in Australia!
