"Vex says he intends to eventually publish each of his designs for free on the internet, giving away the schematics and the instructions on how to assemble the circuits for every last one of his signature pedals."

I like this bit. I can't wait for someone to figure out how to make the Mammoth work with active basses...

Adding a 1:1 impedance matching transformer after the pulldown resistor to base of Q1 should do the trick. I'll letcha know for sure once my transformers come in..

$300 for a breadboard in a box? Seriously? If that's what floats your boat.

That means nothing to me, but if you tell me it will work then I will believe you.

So for $300 you get a bread board to make prototypes and then you can buy the sandwich boards to solder the components to?

Will ZVex also sell the boxes, pots, and other supplies for people to use them as a source for parts and materials?

Be fair, it says the packet will include all of the parts and schematics needed to make his three best-selling pedals, and it has a freakin' army of potentiometers--which are not cheap.

You can buy a ZVex Mastotron - It is essentialy a WM clone with a push-pull knob to control the input impedance.

It is not a WM clone, but a gated fuzz designed for guitar.

The $400 package includes the boards. The $300 one comes with a breadboard in a box with a few pots. The extra box o' pots is an extra $200 or so. He knows that the schematics for all of his pedals are out there and people are cloning them already.
