Zoom B1 Multi - Effects or a Combination of Bass Equalizer - Bass Chorus - and Tuner

Sign in to disble this ad
Currently i am using this Zoom B1 Bass multi-effects rig. I love it for it's built in drum machine and the accurate tuner. And almost everything is inside the box.

I only use a certain settings on it and i couldn't customize the setting as per the limitations below:

3 band equalizer
Chorus - Depth selector only.

I only need 2 pedals for my desired tone and i already have a Bass Equalizer (7 band).

Should i sell my Zoom and just get the 2 pedals plus the tuner?

I'am going to loose my drummer inside the Zoom...

Please help.. give me an advice.

Thank you.

If you like the zoom b1 for it's drum machine and tuner, I'd say keep it. it might come in handy if you wanted to be a one person band. if you wanted a better chorus effect, I personally would recommend the danelectro chorus pedals. they're affordable and they provide smooth retro chorus sounds. I've had a danelectro fab chorus, and it sounds awesome on bass. especially since it has a mix control which makes it very useful on bass.

I don't know if selling the Zoom will get you anywhere near enough dough to get a couple of pedals and a tuner. Besides, I personally love the sounds these little Zoom jobs provide.

I'd definitely say keep the B1 and get the new effects you're planning for. You could wait or look used.

I'm with Crystal and Champ, keep the Zoom and make additions to your collection. The B2.1u is always there for me, sometimes alone doing it's thing or acting as the anchor of a longer chain.

Thank you for the advises. I'll keep that in mind. Went to the shop yesterday... and they are having a sale on the pedals.. I tried the combination of the equalizer and the chorus... fantastic!!! just the sound that i wanted. since i already have the equalizer at home... i went home with the chorus and the tuner... It's a steal for only $52.00 (US)... GREAT BIG Discounts i got there. I'll keep my B1 employed as a drummer for my practice...
