No Rick you're not stupid you just don't grok the interface yet, give it time and study.
Here is my view on the B2.1u or B2 user interface.
>The left knob selects the effects module.
>The foot switches turn the module on or off and selects the effect active in the module.
>Then you have the other 3 knobs that control the parameters for each module/effect, this changes for each effect so we have the cheater.
> once you have the sound you want to save then move the selector back to 'play' hit memory button and select the patch location with the foot switches and hit memory again, display flashes 3 times and you have a saved sound.

Rick...

Quite sincerely.. I downloaded the manual.. gave it to a young guy (with $10) then asked him to teach me the interface....

I had an idea of what I wanted before starting -- -didn't take long to dial in a useable patch.

Tim

Thanks for help Brad. Instead of starting another thread, you mind if I ask more "how to" questions on your tread?

Tim, not a bad idea.

Hey BassBrad
I just scored a Zoom B2.1UT off ebay for half the cost of new. I also opened your sheets from this page and saved them. I should have it in a week or so.
Thanks for the info and if it turns out I don't like it I'll just sell it and try something else. I am to the point in my life that a few hundred here or there won't make any difference in the 401K. I have 4 basses and 4 rings so the kids know they each get 1 of each I pan on spending the rest!!! LMAO

Thank. You. All.
I had the Zoom B2.1U and loved it, but was doing a purge to buy an ATK750koa.
Now that things have settled down again, I'm going to buy the B2 - I found that I didn't require the expression peddle or USB interface (when the time comes to record etc on my Mac, I'll get a simple interface to do that, and Garage Tunes will do me while learning the ropes of 'sound engineering'.)

So thanks bassbrad and the rest who have dropped some VERY handy info in this thread.

Rockit.

Bumpity-bump.

Many thanks for the excellent B2.1u resources.

May you never run short of clean underwear or cold beer.

R.
