Zoom B2.1u effect question

Sign in to disble this ad
OK, so I'm helping a friend set up his rig and he's looking for a "slow gear" or auto volume swell effect to use on a few songs. My ME-50B and Digi BP200 both have variants of this, though they're in different places in the effect sets. I have read in several reviews that the Zoom also has this effect, but from looking at the manual and the front panel, I can't figure out what it's called!

Does the Zoom just not have this, or is it well hidden?

On the Zoom it's called DeFret in the 1st effects bank. Check out the Zoom Cheat sheets, it will help demystify many things.

You might be thinking of Zoom's "slow attack" effect, which doesn't exist on the B2. That effect alone is the reason I use a B1 as a backup to my B9.1ut instead of the B2.

Ah, I'll try that. The "fretless" effects on my ME-50B and BP-200 give a very different type of sound from the "slow gear" and "swell" effects, so it didn't occur to me.

Oops, simultaneous posts! I wondered if the reviewers might have confused the B1 and B2...
