Hey all,
Just professing my love for my new B2.1u.
I used it to record last weekend, and it sounds totally awesome. I was even screwing around with the ring mod, and man, I got some pretty hip tones out of it ... we actually have a groove ... Will post links to what we did when we brush up the recording a bit. We're doing the rpm challenge (rpmchallenge.com), in which we need to make an album during February. Once we get the thing going, I'm going to make us a myspace page with clips.
In my more active group, I'll mostly use the sansamp modeler (love the OD), and some modulation. In this other project, it's fair game for whatever, but I really liked using the ring mod, the tremolo, and the sansamp. The DI made for a great recorded sound.
Best part about it all ... I can program the expression pedal to change parameters ... like slowly changing over from electronic noise into a fat rnb groove.
Peace,
Matt |

My only gripe is all the speaker mods have a kind of very high pitched ring to them. I have created and attached some Xcel sheets for parameters as well as a one sheet with all the presets and room to keep track of your creations. Take a look and let me know what you think. |

| | | | zoom b2 or b2.1u? hi! tell me please some reasons why to spend more money for the b2.1u instead that b2. i can't decide between the two,so i'll wait for you persuading me! |

It's certainly well worth the extra $ for those options if you want them. I have the B2 and have debated getting an expression pedal for it but it doesn't look like you can set the pedal for some of the things I'd want it for(gain rather than mix for example). My amp has a good xlr and I use a digital 4 track for recording, not a computer so for me the b2 is perfectly adequate. If you want any of those extra features though it's a good deal. |

| | | | i have an aphex,which seems to be good as DI,i have a creative Audigy in the pc....but i don't have the expression pedal =D.
anyway.....i love the zoom b2 of my girlfriend because of the sansamp simulation with eq,better than my behringer bdi21.
how is the compressor?
i tried few minutes, and it seems to me noisful if compared with aphex...what do you think? |

The zoom's comp is good but not subtle or transparent. I use it as an effect and the compulator for transparent compression. From what I've read, the aphex is even more subtle than the compulator so you'll have quite a spectrum of compression in your arsenal. The limiter on the zoom is pretty good I think. |
