Zoom B2.1u Warranty

Sign in to disble this ad
A little over a year ago I received a Zoom B2.1u pedal for an x-mas present, its worked great for a while, but about a month ago I noticed the button that moves backward through the particular sequence of effects was sporadically not working. I opened up the unit and found that the small plastic linkage that operates the actual button on the circuit board has broken. Does anyone know if there is any kind of warranty I could redeem for this, or if Zoom would be able to fix it?

Mine was acting the same way. Sometimes the switch worked, sometimes it did nothing, sometimes it jumped up two patches. They have a 1 year warranty . I just made it under the wire, they fixed it and sent it back in one week! If you got it for x-mas '06 I'm pretty sure it's too late but you can always try. If you go to the store where it was bought they may be willing to whip you up a receipt. If it was bought on-line they probably won't fudge the date for you. Good luck.
You know, I've been worrying about this because I've since heard others mention this problem. It's probably bound to recur. I wonder how hard it would be to rebuild/rehouse it with better switches.

well Ive sort of found an intermediate solution, I took off the rubber bumper on the left side, and now if I need to go backwards through the effects series, I just put a slight upward pressure on one of the circuit boards in the pedal. Probably not great for the pedal, but I don't really see any other way of doing it.

Any more help would be greatly appreciated.
