Talking Zoom B2 on guitar: tonecrusher?

Sign in to disble this ad
I was wondering if anyone has any expierience using the B2 for certain effects on the guitar? I am wanting to get a booster like Od out of it, and possibly some delay. I have tried plugging it into my little practice amp, then plugging straight in, and it did not seem to destroy the tone too much. Whats your input?

I found the B2 worked just fine for guitar with the one caveat that the bypass sucks. However I have no problem using at least an amp model at all times for guitar so the bypass is irrelevant.

I let the guitarist in my band use my B1X (over his Korg AX3000G ) a few times for clean sounds, partly because he is a total dunce at making patches and partly beacuse he loves my cleans when I play his guitar through it. I have very little experience with the distortion/od patches but from what little I've seen it's pretty good. I'd expect this to hold good for the B2 as well.

Agreed. At least on my B1X it is so.

I have used some the the sounds in my B2.1u for guitar or piccolo bass and in some ways it is preferrable over the G1x I also have.

I usually overdrive the bassman or marshall tones but the TS9 and the fuzzface can get pretty gnarrly tones as well. I like the mix function.
