Zoom B2 wah effect

Sign in to disble this ad
Do any of you have issue with the Wah effect on the Zoom is lack of volume and not cutting in properly?

I have the volume on that patch on full and when i change to wah effect it seems the volume decrease so much that it get buried when jamming.

My other effect like fuzz, chorus, flanger is ok

Thats strange I seem to have the opposite problem, its to loud so I have to lower the patch volume. Maybe adjust the wah frequency range, it might have to much lows or highs causing it to lose volume when engaged, but for the most part a wah in the down position isnt going to be as loud as when disengaged.

I know you said B2, but just asking if it's B2.1u?

I have the same problem on my B2.1u and I found out that it was the expression pedal. I had it set to control volume, and normally I have it halfway. And when I changed to wah it suddenly became very loud because the pedal moved to control wah, and the volume reset back to original.

i guess i might have to mess around the setting to get the right balance for the effect.

Which wah do you guys like the most on the B2 or B2.1?

Getting the sensitity and resonance set right it the trick, I get a bit of boost some I have to lower the patch volume on mine. My preference is the B2.1u but I have both.

Is it possible to change the overall volume of an custom patch?
I found the following setting on the internet and it sound really nice and punchy, the only problem is that it is very soft. Any idea on how to boost the overall volume?

COMPRESSOR: CP - Compressor
Sense/Threshold:2
Attack/Ratio:3
Level:68

WAH/EFX: OFF

DRIVE/SYNTH: tU - Tube Pre
Cabinet:OF
Tone:10
Gain:40

ZNR/MIX:
ZNR:Z7
Mix balance:1.0
Level:60

LO EQ: LE - LO EQ
70Hz/Type:3
150Hz/Freq:3
450Hz/Gain:-2

HI EQ: HE - HI EQ
1kHz/Type:0
3kHz/Freq:0
6kHz/Gain:2

MOD/SFX: OFF

DELAY: OFF

REVERB: OFF

Use the expression pedal on the B2.1u and set it to control volume, put the volume to what you want then save/store the patch. if i'm not wrong, the volume level will be saved together into the patch, so when you switch patch and you don't touch the expression pedal, the saved volume will be restored.

I like the Auto Resonance effect more than the Auto wah. But both are good.

i have used the g2.1u which is the guitar counterpart of the same thing and there IS a way to adjust the over all volume. cant remember at the moment but it was pretty straight forward and outright. would edit with more info if i happen to remember exactly how

What I do not understand is how to put the Wah effect and the fuzz on together and switch it off together (just got the pedal). Like now I have to turn on Auto Wah to use the wah pedal, is there another way to do that without the autowah?

Thanks

With the the selector knob in the "play" position turn the right hand knob for volume control then save the patch. The volume in the "control" position is for all patches. You can also adjust volume in the "znr/mix","comp/limit", "Drive/Synth" positions, they will affect the effect sound quality though.
