zoom B2 whammy?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a zoom b2 (not the B2 with usb and pedal) and love it.

I was wanting to do some whammy/pitch bend type effects (gliss from one pitch to another).

Would hooking up an expression pedal work with a B2 to make these sounds? There is a pedal pitch mode.

Does anyone here do this with an expression pedal and the zoom B2? How is the sound?

thanks..need to know.

Should work fine, i use that effect on several patches on my B2.1u. You would just have to make the proper setting in the control section. If you already have a volume type pedal you can fudge a control pedal with a usual insert cable (trs 1/4 to 2 1/4).

didn't have time to run to the nearest GC, so i bought a cheapo behringer expression pedal on the way home at a local store, and i tried connecting it to the zoom B2. no luck, the expression pedal didn't work for changing any parameters no matter what i tried.

broke out the instruction manual (for the B2 and the expression pedal) and tried several different methods and nothing worked.

guess i might need a different expression pedal or the zoom one.

ideas?
